Editions Semblance is an independent publishing house founded by Guillaume Chuard. Occupying a space between appearance and reality, object and narrative, Semblance approaches the book as an active participant in meaning-making rather than a neutral container of content.
Each publication aims to treat the book as a prop in its own story—an object capable of shaping, extending, and challenging the narratives it carries. Through editorial experimentation and unconventional modes of reproduction, Semblance explores new relationships between form and content.
Moving freely between the archival and the new, the classical and the avant-garde, humour and drama, Semblance publishes works in which the book itself becomes both object and narrative.
